    Trackpad randomly freezes unless I sign in and out of laptop.


    My trackpad will all of a sudden stop working randomly while using my laptop.I have an ASUS TUF Gaming a15. I've had this problem since I bought my laptop 1y3mo ago and have been few several windows updates, in which it has always persisted.Some observations I have made:- If I close the lid and then open it immediately afterwards and sign back in, it always fixes the problem- often but not always occurs when I am watching a video or in presentation mode in ppt- I can still use my keyboard - the system is still usable- I didn't accidentally disable the trackpad - if I disable and reenable not

    I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
    Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
    I had tried that as well... no result.

    Trackpad randomly freezes unless I sign in and out of laptop.

    Trackpad freezes at random, and I have to reboot

    I bought an Acer TravelMate laptop last month, updated to Windows 10 right away.

    The trackpad have been randomly freezing while I'm using the laptop. Happens multiple times a day. Keyboard works, as an external USB mouse, it's just the trackpad. When it happens I have to reboot.

    I followed the instructions in this thread but the problem persist
