Trackpad sometimes loses its sensitivity. Sluggish to respond to small movements.

My system is a Windows 11 Dell G16 laptop with NVIDIA GeForce RTX and an intel i9 core.Sometimes when I'm sitting and writing, I notice the trackpad will suddenly stop listening to the tinier movements I use while editing text in Word. This isn't exclusive to Word, but that's the only time I'm not using an actual mouse so it's more noticeable. The issue continues on and off. Sometimes it'll perfectly pick up those small movements I need it to, like when going between letters and highlighting, and other times the same gestures barely move the mouse a few pixels. If I exaggerate the gesture, the

How do I enable small movements of the trackpad in Windows?

When I move the mouse with the trackpad and I want to select text or click a small button, I move the mouse in the general vicinity but slow down and stop then try to move it more precise. However, when I stop, the touchpad stops responding! I have to pick up my finger, put it back down, then start moving again. It's really annoying when trying to precisely place the pointer. In other instances, I place my finger down and try to roll my finger, but the mouse doesn't move. In other instances, I move my finger slowly, the mouse moves a millimeter, but then stop responding, even though I didn't stop moving and I didn't life my finger up. It seems it will only recognize sudden, fast movements.

I have it set to the highest sensitivity already. How do I increase the sensitivity or keep it from not responding when I move it slowly or in small increments?

Surface Book 2 trackpad ridiculously sensitive

I have a Surface Book 2 and the trackpad is ridiculously sensitive on it. A lot of people seem to be having this problem too as there are threads on the Microsoft community about it with no real answers.

Everything is up to date as far as Windows updates are concerned. I don't use an external mouse and I have the sensitivity of the trackpad set to low.

I'm wondering if anyone here experienced this issue and were able to solve it?

I have done all the diagnostic tests suggested by Microsoft, such as the Surface Diagnostic Test, and there are no problems with my computer.

windows 10 mouse and trackpad sensitivity issues

Ever since upgrading to windows 10 yesterday 7/29/15, I have been unable to use my mouse and trackpad on my asus laptop like I was able to before this update. For example, when I click something the mouse automatically moves itself to something I did not
click and opens something completely different. My trackpad will click something when I never pressed my finger to click anything. It will move windows with the lightest of touches. This is INFURIATING because my mouse and trackpad was set to respond to the
way I type and click for YEARS and suddenly everything is SO SUPER sensitive.

I've gone to settings > additional mouse settings > pointer options...and turned off the precision.

I've turned off the snap-to options, and no matter how many times I try to change the speed of my mouse, it is either way too fast, or too slow. My trackpad options, I've used all of them. Long delay, medium delay....etc. I cannot get my trackpad on my laptop
to respond like it did before I updated.

    I wish I never updated.
