Windows 10: Trackpad stopped responding but rest works and cordless mouse works, can anyone help?

I have an Acer Aspire 3 touchscreen laptop and it is only 4 months old. I was playing a game and had my mouse plugged in and then finished the game. I shut my computer down but it had am update first. Forgot something so I turned my computer back on and now my touchpad will not respond.Other people have said that after playing a game they have experienced technical difficulties My touch screen does work and my wireless mouse does as well but even with the mouse unplugged I cannot use my trackpad. I did check and I have 2 HID complaint files, I tried disabling one of them as said in previous

Mouse trackpad stopped working out of nowhere

Lately, my mouse trackpad has stopped working out of nowhere. My left clicks do no register but my right clicks do. I can double tap to click but it stops working after I right click at least one time. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the mouse drivers
and I've run the diagnostics but nothing worked. Any feedback and help for this issue is appreciated

 

Keyboard and trackpad stopped working since windows 10 update

Since December's update both my mouse and trackpad have stopped working. The keyboard was sticky to begin with but within a few days several keys have completely stopped working. Now the trackpad has completely stopped.

I have tried uninstalling the drivers and restarting as suggested on on another site.

Any ideas?

read the previous query & reply (from 2010). I have windows10 on laptop, there is no uninstall I can locate. Benn working for at least 12 months on same device. replaced battery, and now bought new mouse.

still not working.
