    Trackpad stopped working and windows start search and settings closes itself.


    Restarted my laptop because it was slow at opening apps. After I do that, it shows that it was getting updated in the restart screen. My trackpad stops working, I go to the device manager to troubleshoot, it says it is disconnected. A user on this platform says that it will re-install if I remove device and its driver. I do it and it does not work. I cant even see it in hidden devices anymore. What should I do? I have an ELAN touchpad from a Lenovo IdeaPad 320.     Trackpad stops working 5 minutes after starting up computer (Windows 10)

    I have the same issue on a Toshiba Satellite S55t-B5152 laptop. The touchpad worked in Windows 8.1. After the upgrade to Windows 10, the trackpad functions at the login screen and for the first minute or so after logging into Windows. After that, nothing.

    The touchscreen works, as will a USB mouse, but I much prefer the trackpad. I tried the suggestions listed by the Microsoft engineer in the other reply, but they did not work.

    Any other suggestions?

    Keyboard and trackpad stopped working since windows 10 update

    Since December's update both my mouse and trackpad have stopped working. The keyboard was sticky to begin with but within a few days several keys have completely stopped working. Now the trackpad has completely stopped.

    I have tried uninstalling the drivers and restarting as suggested on on another site.

    Any ideas?

    Trackpad scroll stops working on certain pages

    My trackpad works fine most of the time but will randomly stop working on a website. For example, I will be scrolling through facebook and all of a sudden the scroll feature will stop working. It will not start working again until I close and reopen the
    page. Scroll continues working normally on other pages/programs.
