Windows 10: Trackpad/Touchpad for Windows 10

I frequently use music-production applications that benefit the use of a touchpad's gestures. I am in search of an Apple Magic Trackpad equivalent for Windows, one that's ideally cheaper and preferably wireless. I have found this one but am wondering if there are any other ones that people have and can comment on their functionality/reliability.

trackpad not working

No. Because the troubleshooting guide on device manager wont even resolve my solution as it is also a basic and one of the primary steps to do but no avail. Tried installing powerplan7 and trackpad++ suggested by relentless on apple forums but with
no success for me. Until now i can't use windows 10 installed on my macbook pro 15inch late 2008 because of the trackpad/touchpad failure.

I would suggest you to check for the latest Touchpad/Trackpad driver from the manufacturer website.

You can follow the methods below to resolve the issue:

Method 1:

I would suggest you to update the Trackpad/Touchpad driver. Follow the steps below to update the driver:

a) Press Windows and x key together and select Device Manager.

a) Locate the trackpad/touchpad driver.

b) Right click on the trackpad/touchpad driver icon and click on “Update Driver software”.

c) Click on “Search automatically for Updated driver software” option.

Method 2 :

If the driver for Windows 10 is not available, I will also suggest you to download and reinstall the latest driver the latest Touchpad drivers from the manufacturer website in compatibility mode.

Please follow the steps below:

Uninstall the Touchpad driver and reinstall the driver in Windows 8.1/7 compatibility mode:

b) Press Windows and x key together and select Device Manager.



c) Locate the touchpad driver.

d) Right click on the Touchpad driver icon and click on Uninstall.

Trackpad stops working 5 minutes after starting up computer (Windows 10)

I have the same issue on a Toshiba Satellite S55t-B5152 laptop. The touchpad worked in Windows 8.1. After the upgrade to Windows 10, the trackpad functions at the login screen and for the first minute or so after logging into Windows. After that, nothing.

The touchscreen works, as will a USB mouse, but I much prefer the trackpad. I tried the suggestions listed by the Microsoft engineer in the other reply, but they did not work.

Any other suggestions?
