    Tranferring a Digital License


    I built a new computer and wanted to transfer my windows 10 license to my new computer. I was following the steps for transferring windows 10 that was upgraded from windows 7. Under the activation settings on the old computer it said that my Microsoft Account was linked to my Digital License. So I was following the steps outlined with that option. During the installation process I selected "I don't have a product key". After the installation I signed in with the same microsoft account went under settings, updates & security, activation and ran the troubleshooter. After running the troubles

    Thats how licensing works with Windows 10, the digital license is attached to your Microsoft Account and makes it easy to reactivate Windows 10 in the event you reinstall it.

    Thanks for your suggestion. I solved the problem with my License Key with Belarc Advisor Software. The Digital License code was a numeration that Microsoft Corporation has given to all that have Windows Account specially to those that has free upgraded
    to Windows 10. Under the Digital License appears the original code.
