    I have a new Windows 11 system and an old Windows 10 system. I want to take the Windows 10 hard drive and put it in the Windows 11 system. as there is a lot of files and programs. Can I do this? Will the Windows 10 HDD have any effect on Windows 11.There are a large number of files and programs on the Windows 10 HDD that I want to be able to access on the Windows 11 system but I obviously do not want to cause any issues with the new system.

    Thanks for the quick reply unfortunatly I no longer have access to download the programs as no longer a student so have lost them.

    Potentially, I could use that Windows 10 HDD (Is currently the boot disk) and its contents via usb device when connected to my laptop which has win 10 installed?

    So if I connected it to my Win 10 laptop through the usb to sata HDD Dock I still wouldn't get to use the software because the registry on the laptop differs to the registry on the external drive that used to be the boot disk?
