Windows 10: Transfer a Windows 10 pro licence key to a replacement device

Hi, I had a computer which I used a retail windows 8 product key to upgrade to windows 10 pro. Under activation it just showed Windows is activated with a digital licence. I believe no microsoft account was linked with the digital licence because the computer was logging in via a domain/work account.The computer broke and it is not possible to boot the PC. Is it possible to transfer the digital licence to the replacement computer when the digital licence was not linked to a microsoft account? If so how is this done. I am hoping to install and activate windows 11 without going via windows 10.

Windows 10 Pro licence transfer to another PC

My current desktop PC has Windows 10 Pro installed. It was upgraded from its predecessor, Windows 7 Pro. However, it will be scrapped soon as I'm building a gaming PC now.

How do I transfer the Windows 10 Pro to my new gaming PC? What are the technical steps as Win 10 doesn't seem to have the licence key?

To explain in more detail:

Current situation:

• Lap top - Windows 10 pro licence, upgraded from windows 8.1. To my knowledge it's not OEM. I have reinstalled system from complete format few times on this device with this licence. I still have product key from 8.1.
• Not working computer - Windows 10 home licence, upgraded from windows 7. For sure not OEM. I have reinstalled system from complete format few times on this device with this licence. I still have product key from 7 and access to hard drive windows is installed

• New computer - Has no licence.

What I want to achieve:

• New computer - Windows 10 pro
• Lap top - Windows 10 home

I read this
article on how to transfer licence, but I'm not exactly sure how to proceed in my case.

Also how would it be best to install Windows 10, I only know how to get files from installation media, but I'm under impression that is bound to licence and computer?
