Transfer files from ssd to new computer without losing data. Only files need transfer

My computer died but computer place said the data is still there and removed the ssd nvme for me. I do not have a backup of files I need. I purchased a new computer and want to transfer some files from old drive to new computer. I have ordered an enclosure to transfer. Orico M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure I want to make sure that when I plug it into my new computer, none of the data on the old ssd gets deleted. Is there a specific order I need to do anything? I have watched some videos and seems easy enough, but had heard something about trim which I am unfamiliar with. Thank you for your help in ad

    :)

    Cable to transfer files

OMG. I have never met anyone who actually bought one of those file transfer things.

Firewire will do the same as USB, but faster, so will a cheap crossover cable. I can wlak you through the steps of moving data so you will not miss a beat.

Anything more than $10 to buy a cable is too much.

    Need Help Files Transfer

I have a computer running Windows XP Home Edition. That computer has two internal HDDs:

The 1st HDD is C:\ that running Windows. And it has 20GB total of capacity.
The 2nd HDD is D:\ that is empty. And it has 90GB total of capacity.

The C:\ drive is almost run out of space (full). Is there a way I can transfer everything in the C:\ drive to the D:\ drive and begin to use the D:\ drive from there on as primary drive?
Can the Windows Files Transfer feature in XP transfer everything I have in C:\ to D:\? If it cannot, then which way can I use to perform the above step?

    Thank you.

Transfer files from ssd to new computer without losing data. Only files need transfer

Transferring files to another folder. Speed issue.

What types of files are you transferring? If it is a bunch of tiny files it will be a lot slower than transferring large files.

Also, what is the model of the second drive?

Right HDTune on both drives and see what results you get in the benchmark. Doing an error scan probably wouldn't be a bad idea either.

No, it isn't even close to being right. A standard mechanical hard drive should be able to get close to 100MB/s transferring data, depending on the data.
