    I have an old Acer laptop, originally Vista, that has Win 10 pro OS on it from the free upgrade a few years ago. I bought a retail Win 7 to upgrade it originally and then bought retail Win 8 and Win 8.1 retail upgrades as they came out. This laptop will never make it to Win 11 and as I understand it, I have a one time transfer right for the OS on that computer. I want to purchase a new bare bones build W/O an OS and transfer my Win 10 from the laptop to it. I was thinking of experimenting with turning the Acer into a Chrome book. Could the correct way to do this be explained to me? I don'

    How to transfer Win 10 Pro key from old computer to new computer with Win 10 free upgrade

    I have an old computer that had Win 7 Ultimate and the Win 10 upgrade made it Win 10 PRO. Now I want to scrap that computer and transfer the PRO key to a newer computer that has only Win 10 free upgrade. How to do this? thanks.

    transfer files between computers on a home network

    I don't know why this is so hard to do but I would like to transfer files between a desktop PC running windows 10 pro and a laptop running windows 10 home. I would like to transfer files in both directions. Both computers are on the same home network and are connected wirelessly.

    Could some one provide either specific step by step instructions on how to do this (I googled and found a countless list of instructions that don't work)

    or a link to a reference.

    I don't know if this is possible but it would be nice to see the computer sending the desired file in the explorer file manager of the computer receiving the desired file and then under the computer see a list
    of shared files and folders.

    Again, this seems like such a reasonable way of sharing files and folders. Shouldn't there be a simple way to do this?
