Windows 10: Transfer of windows OS to a new system

So I'm building a new PC and I want to transfer my windows 10 OS to the new system. I understand how to download the windows install media however, I am unable to obtain the product key. I purchased this years ago and it is reflected in the past transactions on the microsoft store but i am unable to find the product key.

I read online that using the Get Help app and asking to speak to a real agent and have them sort it out is the way to go. But it is impossible to get connected with a real person. They're hours are supposedly from 1am to 10am? i live in the UK. So even when I contacted them during these hours I could not get connected to a real person, it just errors out. Is there an email i can send to get an answer eventually instead of this instant message thing??

Help with OS Transfer on a new build

Need some help figuring out what I need to do for a fresh build tomorrow. I will be moving off of my old CPU and mobo to a new X99 system. Right now I have my OS on a Sata SSD and want to transfer it onto a new NVME drive.

Some issues:

• I have a windows 10 upgrade from a RETAIL windows 7 license so I should have migration rights correct?
• I have 3 other non-OS drives so after I do the install with my old/ current Microsoft account will my fresh install of windows recognise those drives?

If you guys could shed some light on how to do this or advice please lend a hand. thanks!

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows 7, possible to transfer to new system build?....

Hey there, im pretty close to having all the components for my new system so ill start the build soon, only issue I have is Ive heard even though I currently have windows 7 and its an official copy got the keys etc that the copy you have is tied to the motherboard so for my new machine I will basically have to buy a new copy of windows which seems stupid to me.

However Ive also heard if you phone microsoft you can sometimes get the license key transferred over, is this the case and has anyone got any info on this? id rather not shell out another 120 quid when im already running the os on my old system and have all the discs and licence already.
