    Transfer OS to new hard drive


    Hello, I just ordered a new Seagate Barracuda 2tb HDD for my desktop and i was wondering how i could go about transferring my Windows 10 OS over along with some other software i have downloaded. I plan on combing my two hard drives into the new one, and trashing the older/smaller ones.

    What would be the steps i follow to ensure i do this successfully?

    I currently have Windows 10. I have a hard drive that is going bad and need to transfer the OS to the new hard drive.

    How can it be done?

    To a new hard drive that will be installed in the same computer? Yes, no problem at all.

    The easiest way to do this is to make an image backup of the old hard drive, and then restore the backup to your new hard drive.
