Windows 10: Transfer preinstalled windows 11 license to another laptop

My sister brought new laptop which came with windows 11 per-installed. She agreed to swap laptops with me if I can install windows 11 on my laptop.My laptop came with Ubuntu and do not have window license. It does meet with win11 hardware requirements.I will be removing windows from her laptop and install Arch on it and will install windows on my laptop instead. So can I legally do this ?

i bought the license. My laptop was originally loaded with win 7 and was upgraded free couple of months.

in this case, if i understand you correctly, i can transfer with below steps. Right.?

You can't because the free upgrade originated from a preinstalled OEM Windows 8.1 license. You will need to purchase a new full Windows 10 license for the other device.

It depends on how Windows 10 was originally configured on your computer.

If its a full retail store bought license online or offline, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

If its the free upgrade from a retail store bought Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

If its the free upgrade from a OEM preinstalled Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is NOT transferable to a new computer or motherboard.
