Windows 10: Transfer WIn10\11 Pro licence from personal account to work account?

I have a MS personal account *.outlook.com and a MS work account. timnash.net.I have two laptops. One older device with an OEM Windows Pro licence and a new laptop that came with W11 Home.I have rebuilt the older laptop using Win10 and my work account and it installed and activated using my MS work account as Win10 Pro no problem.I attempted to do the same with my new laptop but it did not recognise my MS work account during the build so I had to use my MS personal account to do the job. As I wanted to use my MS work account to build the new laptop, I used the MS Store to upgrade Windows

How can I transfer a Windows 11 Pro upgrade from personal account to work account?

I recently purchased a new laptop for my business and realized once received that it had Windows 11 Home instead of "Pro", so I wasn't able to login using my work email account.

I ended up logging in with my personal account and upgraded to Windows 11 Pro - however I am finding out that I may have made a mistake in doing so, because I still cannot remove my personal email from the computer and login using my work account.

Is there anyway I can transfer the Windows 11 Pro upgrade license to a different account? If yes, how can I do so?

Any suggestions on how to proceed would be much appreciated!

 

Successful transfer of Win10 Pro digital licence

Hi I would put it this way from what I have learned:
If you have a windows 7 (or presumably, 8 or 8.1) RETAIL channel licence (i.e. you had the discs and were previously able to install on new machines as you needed - uninstalling any others so that there was only one copy in use) then yes.

I had upgraded my old Win7 pro licence to Win10 Pro using the free upgrade offer from MS last year.

Now I want to use win10 pro on the new machine (which comes with Win10 Home) but I only have a digital win10 pro licence on the old machine (plus my old Win7 Pro licence).

The digital licence to win10 pro can apparently be 'transferred' to the new machine. I haven't done this yet but I am told this is effected by using a MSA (Microsoft account) and being logged into that account on both machines.

You then use the activation troubleshooter to select the licence on the old machine or alternatively performing a plain upgrade on the new machine and either entering the original win7 pro key or calling MS to activate over the telephone.

We'll see if it works. I'll post back.
