Windows 10: Transfer Windows 10 Pro digital license to new PC

I upgraded my previous computer to Windows 10 Pro via a digital license purchased from the Windows Store. Unfortunately, that computer was quite literally fried during an electrical storm last month - the technicians who I took it to said it was not cost effective to repair due to damage to the motherboard. So, I purchased a new computer - which came with Windows 10 Home. Since I already purchased an upgrade license to Windows 10 Pro, an since that license was tied to a computer that is no longer able to boot, how (if possible) can I upgrade the new computer using the digital license that I purchased? Or am I forced to spend another $99 to upgrade the new computer with a NEW digital license? There is NO way to "deactivate" the license on the old computer because the motherboard was damaged and it won't even turn on.

Transfer digital license from old PC to New one.

You would have to first ensure the Digital License is linked to your Microsoft Account. See instructions how to do that. You can then use the Troubleshooter on the new computer after installing Windows 10 to restore the license.

Please note, if your license was upgraded from a OEM preinstalled Windows 7 or Windows 7 license, it is not transferable.

Windows 10 digital license transfer to a new PC

Hello! I have a PC with Windows 10 Pro digital license linked to my Microsoft account. In a couple of days I will get a new PC. I'd like to transfer my digital license from this PC to the one I will get. Is this possible? And if it is, how exactly
can I do that?

I purchased a PC with Windows 10 Home 2 years ago and afterwards upgraded to Windows 10 Pro through the Microsoft store. The activation method is a digital license. I recently bought a new PC, also with Windows 10 Home and a digital license. Can the Windows
10 Pro license be transferred to the new PC? And vice versa, can the new Windows Home license transferred to the old computer?
