Windows 10: Transfering PRO licence between laptops

Hi,I have two laptops Surface Laptop Studio and Dell XPS. Both of them had preinstalled Windows 11 Home. I bought the upgrade to PRO in SLS, but right now I'm thinking about using it in my Dell. Is it possible to transfer that upgrade between laptops?

Possible to transfer over Windows 11 Pro licence from dead laptop to new laptop?

My old laptop which was running Windows 11 Home originally out of the box, which then I upgraded to Windows 11 Pro through the $99 Microsoft Store upgrade has died and will not turn on again. I am getting a new laptop with Windows 11 Home on it, but I still want a Windows 11 Pro licence on it. Is it possible to transfer the licence? I don't want to spend another $99 to upgrade my new laptop to Pro. I am willing to take out the SSD if needed to retreive the product key/licence. Does anyone have more detailed steps on how to transfer over the licence if it is possible?

How to transfer a Windows 10 Pro Upgrade Licence

My Dell laptop has died. It was originally supplied with a Windows 8 Home OEM licence, upgraded to Windows 10 Home then I bought a license to upgrade to the Pro version.

I need to buy a new laptop which will come with a Windows 10 Home licence. Can I reuse the Pro upgrade licence currently linked to the dead laptop for the new laptop and how do I transfer the licence? I can’t remember the T&Cs of the Pro upgrade licence.

 

Transfer Windows 10 digital licence to another computer

Hi,

I have retail Windows 10 Pro digital licence which is linked to my microsoft account. I want to transfer that licence to new laptop. What are the steps? Do I need to deactivate licence (and how) at first laptop and then install windows to other laptop and link
somehow that licence to that laptop?
