    I have seen multiple and conflicting answers to this question. My intention is that there will only be one activated windows instance I intend to relocate it from bare metal into a VM on the same machine where it was originally installed. 4 different machines each with their own windows license. If I have what is probably an OEM key in each case from the current installation would an ISO install into a VM be able to activate each machine's windows key ON THE SAME MACHINE it was originally activated on? I have no intent to create multiple instances I only need one instance to perform one t

    Transferring VM license to Non-Virtual Machine?

    I have a VM set up on Linux with an activated install of Windows on it.

    If I decided to get rid of the VM on this computer and simply install Windows bare metal, would I be able to use the same license I bought for the VM since its the same computer physically or would it not be able to tell it was the same and require me to
    buy a new disc?

    The one I have on the VM is from a Windows Home 10 64bit OEM DVD, if that is important.
