    Transferring Everything to a new Computer (Bootcamp partition to new windows PC)


    Hi!

    I built a windows PC after using BootCamp on my Macbook Pro for a long time. I'm looking to transfer as easily as possible between my bootcamp windows and my new PC. When I'm doing this on Mac it's super easy, I just do a full backup using Time Machine and then use it during set up of the new computer to restore.

    Is there a similar system to that Mac Time Machine process I described to transfer everything (installs, files, settings, etc) to a new device? Can I just do a File History backup from bootcamped windows, and then plug it into the new device (how would i select to restore from that backup?), and login to my microsoft account on both and then I'll be good to go? Please let me know if there's a better way or a good guide for this. Thanks!

    transfer windows 10 to new pc?

    It depends on how Windows 10 was originally configured on your computer.

    If its a full retail store bought license online or offline, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

    If its the free upgrade from a retail store bought Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

    If its the free upgrade from a OEM preinstalled Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is NOT transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

    Bootcamp Partition Size

    Hi folks, I'm trying to install Windows via Bootcamp on my Mac Mini, but run into a problem where I can't seem to divide the space equally between two partitions. 77GB is as much as I can partition for Bootcamp, which is odd since I have so much free space. I've attached a screenshot to show the issue. I've tried Googling but can't seem to find a solution. Any help is appreciated!
