Windows 10: Transferring my old laptop key to my new pute.

My wife's old laptop has a new copy of windows 10 and now we are destroying the laptop due to being old, How can I use her key on my computer to upgrade to 10.My pute is a desktop with win 7.We bought the windows from Amazon and don't want to lose the key.I just want to upgrade my pute to 10 now,.

Transferring Windows Key to New laptop

I have on old Laptop that came with a Windows Home Key. I later upgraded to pro with a product key. Now I have bought another laptop with a home key. Now I want to transfer the pro key to the new laptop and go back to Home version on my older laptop. I cannot downgrade to the home key on my older laptop. It always throws up an error. It always shows Windows is activated with digital license linked to my microsoft account. From what I've read online I cannot transfer the pro one without removing it from my older laptop. Is there somewhere where I can manage what my keys like office subscriptions. or How can I transfer it?

Can someone please let me know how to transfer as much as possible from my old Windows 10 laptop to a new one.

 

License Transfer from old to new laptop

HI All,

I had a old laptop with windows 10 pro activated (Along with microsoft account linked). Then i brought a new laptop with windows 10 home activated.

Now i want to transfer the windows 10 pro license to my new laptop.

1. I don't have the old laptop with me as i have exchanged it with the new one (But before that i have deleted the old account and license from the old laptop, so i don't have the old product key)

2. Now i have linked my old old microsoft account in my new system but it doesn't changed to windows 10 pro it still windows 10 home.

Please help regarding this.?Thanks in advance.
