Windows 10: Transferring Windows Key to New laptop

I have on old Laptop that came with a Windows Home Key. I later upgraded to pro with a product key. Now I have bought another laptop with a home key. Now I want to transfer the pro key to the new laptop and go back to Home version on my older laptop. I cannot downgrade to the home key on my older laptop. It always throws up an error. It always shows Windows is activated with digital license linked to my microsoft account. From what I've read online I cannot transfer the pro one without removing it from my older laptop. Is there somewhere where I can manage what my keys like office subscription

USB Transfer to Laptop

Hello Judy,

I suggest you to copy all the files to a flash drive from the laptop.
You may create a new folder on your desktop and name that folder as per your choice.

  Perform the steps to transfer the files from laptop to desktop.
  
• 
  Plug in the flash drive and wait for it to get detected.
  
• 
  Now, open the flash drive and Right Click on the files that you want to transfer and select “Copy”.
  
• 
  Now, open the folder on desktop and Right Click on an empty space in the folder and select “Paste”.
  
• 
  Similarly, you can transfer all other files.
  

As per the file size you can also use an external drive instead of a flash drive and transfer the data.

Building a new rig to transfer Windows 10 but not sure if it's OEM or Retail

If you upgraded from a retail box copy Windows 7, it has retail transfer rights.

Use the following to see if you can find the original Windows 7 key. If you can't find the original Windows 7 key, you won't be able to transfer it.

Regarding Transfer of Upgrade Product Key

Backstory:

1. I purchased a laptop that came with an OEM version of Windows 10 Home
2. I purchased a retail Windows 10 Pro product key and upgraded the laptop.

Question:

1. I have purchased a new laptop with an OEM version of Windows 10 home installed
   
2. I would like to transfer the Windows 10 Pro retail product key to the new laptop so I can upgrade the new laptop.
   
3. Also, I would like to restore the OEM version of Windows 10 back onto the old laptop.
4. Is there a way to do this.
