    Translucent bar spiting the screen in two parts


    hello,i am using Windows 11 with Ryzen 9 5900x and GF RTX 2070S.The problem started today suddenly. Some unwanted semi transparent bar appeared on my screen, splitting it in two.I can't think of any third party app that would do this.I can't find any options to disable it, including in Multi tasking options.Can't find anything similar searching online.The bar itself is non selectable, cannot be clicked nor right clicked nor dragged. It hides everything behind it, quite annoying.If i restart my PC it will go away and eventually re-appear soon. I am not sure what triggers it.

    Custom (Translucent) Screen Saver?

    adding a custom screen saver to windows 10 seems pretty straightforward, and there's no shortage of sites dedicated to screen saver downloads, but is there such a thing as a translucent screen saver that, once it kicks in, allows your desktop to still be visible, albeit behind the translucent screen saver?

    windows 10 desktop installs don't seem to offer the "dim display after" feature found in laptop installs, and it's a feature i would really like for my desktop, i.e. i want the screen to dim after x amount of minutes, not turn off or be replaced by a screen saver that covers my desktop, i want to still be able to see my desktop, but just barely...

    so i was wondering if this could be accomplished by using a "translucent" screen saver? is this possible? or do screen savers completely replace the desktop, i.e. it doesn't matter if they're translucent or not, the desktop won't be visible once the screen saver kicks in?

    Downloaded app, and a random search bar came to the top of my screen.

    The search bar that is showing on the upper part of the screen is a 3rd party search bar tool. This tool bar may have been included during the installation or when you installed the CamStudio on your computer. To take that off from your screen, we suggest
    that you uninstall the search bar tool. To do that, follow these steps:

    • Right-click on Start and click Control Panel.
    • Go to Programs and features and click Uninstall a Program.
    • Under Uninstall or change a program, scroll through the list to check if there is any third party tool\search bar installed on the computer.
    • If yes, right-click on the tool\search bar and uninstall it.

    A translucent box on screen windows 11

    Thanks to everyone that has replied and offered their expertise. I had read a previous post that mentioned turning off the search in the task bar settings, since I have implemented this solution the translucent box has not reappeared. Now if I want to search I just press the WINDOWS key + S. Hope this helps anyone else with their translucent box problem.
