Windows 10: Trapped at Win 10 Safe Mode Log in screen with no Network Connection

I am caught in a trap that I can't get out of. I booted into Safe Mode without network connection. I know that I have to enter my Windows (Outlook) password and not my PIN to move forward. For whatever reason, it didn't like my password. From another machine, I confirmed that it was the correct password.


I changed my Windows password from another machine, but since I don't have network connectivity, it doesn't matter. Since I use a password manager, I have a record of my previous passwords as well. I have tried them all to no avail.


No natter what I try, I am unable to reboot the machine into anything but Safe Mode without network connection and can't get beyond the log in screen.


I have tried using [shift] restart to use other options but with no different result. I have plugged an ethernet cable into the laptop as I know wifi won't work.


I have used an install disk to repair Windows using the troubleshooting feature but there are no problems to fix. I'm always taken to the log in screen and there is no option to change users (there aren't others on this computer); no hints; or anything.
