Windows 10: Tray icons messed up after updating to 20H2

Some time ago I finally updated my Windows 10 to 20H2 version, however the tray icons got messed up.

At first the volume icon disappeared, but I managed to make it appear again turning off an on again "Volume" from "Taskbar settings" > "Select which icons appear on the taskbar".

But now it's the turn of the Eject Device button to disappear (or better, it doesn't show up no matter what removable device I plug in the USB port, even if I can eject it from the file explorer). Actualy, it seems that that icon got somehow confused with the battery status icon: it is not there until I plug something, it still works properly if I click on it, but disappears when I remove the device.



Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to solve it?

Tray icon is blurred when I switch user with different DPI

Hi everyone,

I develop application in windows 10 build 10586(newest version), and I find a problem.

Suppose I have two user accounts:

• session 1 (account user1), DPI: 125%
• session 2 (account user2), DPI: 100%

When I do theses steps, tray icon would be blurred...

• Launch program in user1 session, tray icon looks like clear on the bottom right corner。
• Switch to another user (user2)。
• Stitch back to the user1。
• tray icon is blurred。
• operate the application, tray icon is normal as long as it's updated。

Does anyone encounter this issue? It would be no problem if both DPI are 100%, maybe OS use wrong icon to scale into 125%。

Windows Defender Tray Icon

Having just updated Windows to version 1709 16299.19 the Icon for Defender is no longer there. Checked notifications and defender is not even listed.

In Task Manager start up there is just the word Windows and not defender ( see pic). So this new version of windows has messed up Defender in some way. Before the up date defender icon was in the system tray and now it's gone.
Anyone else having this with the 1709 up date?

 

Tray icon disappears

I've been experiencing since the installation of Windows XP SP2 on multiple machines with the ATITool Tray Icon disappearing upon load at system startup. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. Enabling or Disabling the "Hide Inactive (tray) Icons" WinXP menu option doesn't have any effect. The only way to open ATITool after it has loaded is to go through the start menu to open it again. I have "minimize on close" selected in ATITool. When closing ATITool, you see it make the motions of minimizing to the tray area but no icon is displayed. Any ideas?
