Windows 10: Treesize not showing Free space - confusing now and not useful

Confusing results from Treesize Free

Shows "C" parent 100% allocated (approx. 85 GB on "C".

However HDD (it's an SSD) is actually a 232GB with approx. 100 GB Free space.

Treesize used to show what % of HDD was used.

why do people UPDATE apps with LESS useful stuff than previous versions !!! Grhhhhhhh

Running on W10 Pro X64 with single 232 GB SSD drive.

2) From Control panel-->Administrative tools-->computer management-->Disk management





3) from File explorer -->properties





At the very least I should be able to get this type of info before drilling down the Tree. OK Linux but File explorer does the same

C drive is getting full automatically

You can use treesize, a freeware that would show you which files are taking so much of space.

Post back a screenshot of the same and run Treesize as admin as well.

 

Windows 10 "Settings/Storage/C:/Apps & Games" giving me a false reading.

Hi IDEK,, this might be just a glitch in the storage app in settings . . .

If however this 43.5 GB is being taken up on your hard drive, your best option is a small free utility called TreeSize

Windows File Explorer cannot show where your hard drive space is being used up

TreeSize will show you instantly, where your space is being used!

Most likely symblinks are confusing it.

 

Why are you viewing it as percent ? change it to view as Size.

With what version did you see the change? I have gone back to v2.31 and it displays the same (no free space) as the most recent
