Windows 10: Tried deleting McAfee files, now "windows installer" pops up constantly

I tried deleting all the McAfee files on my computer, but only some could be deleted for various reasons. I restarted my computer and when i tried to open my file viewer, it didnt open. Instead windows installer popped up and dissabled my taskbar until i spammed the cancel button and the taskbar until the installer closed. It also pops up everytime i try to run something with adminstrator. I have even tried letting the installer sit for 1 hour to no avail.

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Start with step 2, skip step 3 and 4, continue to step 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Once installed, go back to the file you cannot delete > right click at it > click take Ownership > wait for the flashing black screens to finish > now, try to delete the file again.

By the way, McAfee Removal Tool is really the one you should use first. It is written specifically for that purpose.
