I was a bit nervous of posting this, but I saw someone had posted a similar question on the website 'Reddit' so I'm gonna try and ask a question here.________________________________________________________________Recently I've had an injury can't go into depth because it is a REALLY long story. and I have been having eyesight issues. In Windows 10 I tried to enable high contrast so then it's easier to see text and programs, and whatnot. I enabled it in settings and and afterwards my screen has turned completely black. I thought maybe I have gotten a virus and I panicked a bit and shut down

  2. File Explorer Selective High Contrast mode

Hello Kacson, my name is Paul one of the community experts. I am sorry that you are having issues with your visual settings that is stuck in High Contrast Mode.

Kindly try these steps to check if it can resolve the issue.

Way 1: Turn High Contrast off via keyboard shortcut.

Press left Shift+left Alt+Print Screen to instantly turn it off.

Way 2: Turn off High Contrast through changing the theme.

Step 1: Enter theme in the search box and click Change the theme in the result.

Step 2: Choose a new theme from the offered themes excluding the High Contrast themes.

Way 3: Turn High Contrast off in High contrast settings.

Step 1: Type high contrast in the search box and tap High contrast settings in the result.

Step 2: Click the High Contrast theme (i.e. High Contrast #1, High Contrast #2, High Contrast Black or High Contrast White), choose None in the pop-up list and then hit Apply.

Please let me know if that above information's helped or not.

    Regards,

  4. Tried enabling 'High contrast mode' in 'Settings' but then my screen went completely black.

Enabling of High Contrast resulted in unresponsive black screen.

While in personalization settings in Win 10, after enabling high Contrast, my display went black and several reboots have had no effect on this apparently one of a kind event. Without access to system info or Logs, all I can tell you is I'm running Win10x64
with an Nvidia 6**. I've tried going through my on board graphics, no cheese. If anyone has seen this before, you may be able to catch me before I Ralph Machio this **** mid air. Any suggestions would be awesome.
