Windows 10: Tried solutions for Windows Update error code 0x80080005 but won't work

Hi, I noticed I've not been receiving updates and I can't download apps from Microsoft store. So I checked updates, and this message popped up -





I have Windows 10 Home Single Language version 1903


I tried solutions from other posts as well,

1.

sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

-- it did fixed some system files. I restarted and did Windows Check Update but I still get the same error.


2. I also tried resetting Windows Update components, following this https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/windows-update-resources


but some files were missing




How to resolve this?

Windows update error (0x80080005)

Hello, I am currently on 1809 version, build: 17763.557

When I first tried to update windows, i got an error of: 0x80080005.

I've done the sfc/scannow (found nothing), did the troubleshooting (gave me Service registration is missing or corrupt error), and did all those things for stopping wusaurv and etc. Nothing worked.

What;s even unsual is that the name in services, isn;t Windows Updates, it's just wusaurv.

I cannot update my windows to the newest build, what can I do now?

Sorry? Have you got the correct Tweaking .com's repair tool? Or followed the steps to the end where you actually do the numbered repairs?

suggests the error number may occur where one of the OTHER drives has a problem.

Your specs don't say whether you have other drives installed.

Anyway, worth using Hard Disk Sentinel (trial) - the best text summary of such programs I've seen- to check your disks. Failing that check SMART params and do a surface scan with something else.
