  1. Tried to update my computer now I think it's broken

I recently updated my computer for the October 2020 update via settings. Now, it's giving me the option to select keyboard language. When I select keyboard language, I pick US English, but then it takes a few minutes. A black bar appears near the middle of my screen and my Acer booting screen pops up. After the boot up process, my screen goes black for around 15 minutes and reverts back to the language selection screen. I contacted support and they said they'd upgrade me to tier 1 support tomorrow, but I have online school soon and I would like help asap. Thanks!

    :)

  2. Uninstalled update# 3035583 thinking it was broken...can't reinstall!

I am having the exact same issue with KB3035583. I uninstalled the update thinking it was broken and am unable to reinstall it using windows update. I have tried all the steps in the article about resetting windows update, but that still hasn't solved
    my issue.

  3. Uninstalled update# 3035583 thinking it was broken...can't reinstall!

I didn't see the upgrade notice on my taskbar and so thinking it was broken I uninstalled update 3035583, hoping to reinstall it. However it no longer appears in my Updates list and I can't re-install it. I tried clearing out my Windows Update cache but
that hasn't worked at all. The update doesn't show under the list of available ones, even after restoring all hidden updates. Any ideas on how I can go about reinstalling this so I can reserve my Windows 10 upgrade?

    I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

Tried to update my computer now I think it's broken

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Tried to update my computer now I think it's broken :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
