    This thread has been started and closed without solution many times. But I think I have the key to a solution which would help a lot of people out. Hopefully people start finding this forum entry instead of the others that spiral around and go nowhere. If you are a busy problem solver and would rather not read this entire thread, we basically need a barebones simple solution for trimming an MP3 file.Diving into the issue, Microsoft removes the ability to trim audio in Windows 10 Voice Recorder AKA Windows 11 Sound Recorder when you update the operating system.     Where is the trim botton in Windows Sound Recorder?

    Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    The build-in Windows Sound Recorder is a very basic app, it does not have an option to trim the audio, you would need to download an audio app from the Microsoft store to trim the resulting audio file.

    That version has all of the issues that I've listed. Also, how do I edit recordings?

    Click that "I have the same question" guys, six people have viewed this question and none of them have but the fact is you can't trim Sound Recordings using the app so there's no reason you shouldn't be clicking it
