Windows 10: trojan malgent help

Hello. I know a lot of people are suffering from this, so I hope someone will be able to help me out.I had been away for the past three days. I came back and while using my laptop, I noticed that it went down from 44 percent to 19 on a whim. that was unusual, so I checked the battery report since Windows Defender said my battery had no problems. I saw that on 16th Dec, the capacity went down 4k mAh compared to the previous day and went back up 4k the following day. I decided to scan for malware just in case.I used WD for the scan and it found this trojan win32 malgent in four browser locations

Boot your PC into Safe Mode.

Open File Explorer, then on the View menu at the top, temporarily turn on 'Hidden Items'.

Navigate to this folder: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans\History\Service

Delete the contents of that Service folder.

Navigate to this folder:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Quarantine

Delete the contents of that Quarantine folder.

Close File Explorer and restart Windows in normal mode.

Open Defender and select the option to perform an offline scan, your PC will restart to perform that scan.

Then check if that malware list is clear.

 

Virus Trojan:32/Wacatac.DC!ml not completely remediated on Windows PC

One more time, looking for help on this. I go through the extensive list of steps above, including running script, adaware, cleaner and emisoft. No problems noted. I make sure the temp file and WD Service files are empty. I shut down the computer. In the morning I start up and a notification says WD has blocked wacatack trojan. The time listed is the time I shut down.

Anyone?
