    Trojan Virus using sytem interrupts to use 80%+ CPU when task manager not open.


    For the last month I've had a Trojan Virus on my computer. It is one of the ones that quickly turns off when task manager is open, I've been able to get a glimpse of what is using the cpu usage when opening task manager and it says "System Interrupts" is responsible for the 80% CPU usage. So today I finally got around to reinstalling windows but the virus is still there and ive given up. I've used my schools Sophos, MalwareBites and other anti virus software, ive gone through system 32 for igfxupdate I'm really not sure what to do.

    high cpu usage when task manager is open

    i am having issues with cpu usage when i bring up the task manger it shows that cpu usage is 59% with the task manager app using up 30-40% cpu usage in the performance tab it show that my cpu usage is at 80% usage but when using other programs to check
    my temps and cpu load etc is shows low 20s when gaming this can pin the cpu up at 100% in task manger

    High CPU usage until I open the task manager.

    hi,

    I recently noticed my laptop(an HP envy) getting very hot even when I have nothing open and whenever I open task manager I see the CPU usage at 80% and then it quickly goes down to around 5-10%.

    I have done a scan with Windows defender and malware bytes and found nothing.

    Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc)

    If necessary, choose the Processes Tab

    Click on the CPU column header, so that arrow faces down

    Leave that window open to monitor your system

    When this high CPU occurs, minimize whatever windows you are working on and check what are the top 5 processes listed at that time?
