    I got the following message from Defender Windows 11:Threat found -action needed30/01/2024 16:01SevereDetected: Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!mlStatus: ActiveActive threats have not been remediated and are running on your deviceDate: 30/01/2024 16:01Details: This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.Affected items:file: C:\$Extend\$Deleted\0099000000001E1607EF0CDCWhat I tried so far:Actions to remove or even quarantine don't work.Defender offline scan, Malwarebytes, and MSERT didn't find anything but Defender full scan brought this up again.I even scanned the computer from a

    Trojan Script Wacatac B!ml

    Hi,

    I am using Windows 11.I went to a hotel website , trying to make a reservation , after entering the dates, pressed check availability or check rates , A red screen came up , with a virus warning, Windows defender detected it. I quarantine it and said Detected : Trojan Script Wacatac B!ml, severe.

    I used Windows defender to remove the trojan and now the status showed : a threat or app was Removed from this device.

    based on this information, can I assume that this trojan is gone forever, or it's still hiding somewhere.

    urgent help needed can i restore data i got wacatac b!ml not deleted and i got no security updates so all my data is gone my sata changed to ata but people say its only collecting history and it was more destructive because it downloaded a trojan or other things it does

    Wacatac (also known as Trojan:Win32/Wacatac)
    is a trojan-type infection that stealthily infiltrates computers and performs a number of malicious actions. Cyber criminals typically proliferate this malware using spam email campaigns
    and fake software 'cracks'.

    Windows Defender would mention the potential threat to you but it is up to you to delete it altogether from the system. Currently, if the Virus is in the Quarantine and you can delete it from there.
