Windows 10: Trouble Accessing Laptop after Update

Hi,A windows update messed up my sound driver and then asked for a Bitlocker Recovery Key. After I provided that, the PIN I used to access my computer everyday was no longer working. I can't reset my PIN without accessing the Outlook account that I was forced to set up when I set up my new laptop. I have never used that Outlook account other than to set up the laptop. I can't remember the password. When I try to recover the password, Microsoft denies it because I don't know the email addresses and subjects recently sent because I've never sent an email from that account. I am able to

I will try that... do you think I have complete access to replace the monitor cable without dismantling the laptop from step 1? *Eek!

LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied.

I am trying to share a folder on a LAPTOP. I have other a number of other systems that have folders Shared and they work fine, but with this one I get the error "LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied." when I try to access it from a different Win10 system. So I went thru the entire "How to Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10" tutorial step by step. File and Print Sharing is enabled, SMB1.0 client & server are running, and Everyone has Full Access to the Share. Still get the error. I have tried it with the Network Public and Private, with the same result. Any suggestions ? Microsoft Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042

Thank you for your contribution to the forums. When it comes to issues opening/accessing apps, there's a wide variety of issues that could be at fault - in order to resolve this issue we would need to know a little more information regarding the circumstances
and symptoms of what's going on.

• Are you able to open the apps at all?
• If you are, do you receive an error?
• What step of the update process did you reach?

Aside from this information, the only thing I would suggest trying is simply trying to update your phone again, but this time make sure not to remove it until after the update has completed.
