Windows 10: Trouble changing OneDrive download folder

Hello.I have followed the directions carefully and gone through the steps several times to change the location of my OneDrive folder on my laptop Win10. When all is said and done the new location exists and synced the contents I unsynced them purposely, btw, but there is still a OneDrive location in the original C drive that I cannot delete.When I download something from my OneDrive, the download folder hasn't changed and still downloads to the original location.Please can someone tell me how to make the download folder the new location of OneDrive , and also how to delete the old location?

Downloads folder is the Documents folder

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

I understand your concern and suggest you to Unlink OneDrive and run OneDrive setup
again and check. Here is the steps:

• 
  Right-click the white OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, at the far right of the taskbar.
  
  
  
  (You might need to click the Show hidden icons arrow next to the notification area to see the
  OneDrive icon.)
  
• 
  Click Settings, and then click Unlink.
  
• 
  Follow the steps in the Welcome to OneDrive wizard to set up OneDrive.

• What is the current location of One Drive folder? Is it the default one or have you changed it?
• Are the files getting synchronized properly?

If the location is default, then I suggest you to follow the below mentioned steps and check if that helps:

• Right click on One Drive folder.
• Go to Customize tab.
• Click on Restore default and click on
  Apply and then OK.
