Windows 10: Trouble facing with activating my free Microsoft account, using product key

i am facing trouble with activating my new word, i tried using the product key and its still not working. Is there anyway i could activate my free 365 word. I brought my laptop 2 years back and treid to use word for the first time recently only.

How to unlink a product key from the Microsoft account?

It is dead easy to remove the digital link from MS account. Simply change login to a local licence. Then use your product key on new pc. If Windows complains key has already been used, use telephone activation and at step where it asks about licence, state it will only be used on new pc.
