Windows 10: trouble in entering a path

Good morning sirs,

I'm having trouble setting a path in my ODBC properties:




But if i paste the same path on file explorer i have no trouble. How is it possible?

what exactly do you need to decipher about that path line? also, what are you installing? perhaps i can help.

Yeah, I think you're right. I think the purpose of the echo command was to check if ~/bin was in the $PATH file. My problem is that I can't decipher the output and I don't know how to add ~/bin to the $PATH file.

Just for clarification, the snippet of instructions I gave is just a few steps in the installation process. Nothing is actually supposed to be installed with those steps.

Path Entries with BAT or REG

If you wanted to start thinking about using Powershell, here's a starter for 10:
Tutorial Powershell - Edit the PATH environment variable [ Step by step ]

It looks as though you could simply define $INCLUDE as you wish.


Then there's pathed which appears to support including semicolon separated lists.
