  1. Trouble Initiating New SSD

Im trying to initiate a Samsung 870QVO SSD on my laptop using a USB 3.0 port and USB 3.0 to SATA adapter. The laptop is a HP 15Z-AW000. When I install the SSD internally, BIOS recognizes it. I cannot boot windows from the HDD on USB. So I have to clone the drive using the HDD internally and the SSD on USB. The SSD does not come up in Disk Management or AOMEI. The only thing I have that shows any kind of functionality is it comes up on the Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media option as ASM105x. From there the driver is USB Attached SCSI UAS Mass Storage Device. Ive tried every USB port. Ive tried 2 different cables. How do I format this disk so I can actually use it?

    :)

  2. SSD not initialized and unable to initialize

There could be several reasons due to which ‘Disk Unknown Not Initialized’ error message may occur, which are mentioned as following:
Corrupt/ Incompatible/Outdated Driver, MBR Corruption, Missing or lost partition, Bad Sectors in hard drive, Corrupt File System etc. To solve this problem we apply some fundamental manual steps like: update the device driver,
Rebuild the MBR boot, initialized disk, assign a drive letter, Run CHKDSK command and Run diskpart utility.

To initialized the disk go to Disk management > and locate the drive that not initialized > the drive will show unallocated. > select unallocated disk > Right click on it > click initialized disk > select
    between GPT > Click OK.

Once the process is done, you will redirected to main windows and check you can access it or not.

SSD not initialized and unable to initialize

I have 3 disks on my desktop : 1 M.2 disk (boot disk) , 1 SSD drive and 1 HDD drive . Everything was working well until yesterday i was unable to access some files on the SSD drive . After restarting the computer the SSD drive doesn't appeared anymore
    .

In disk management appears as "Disk 1 - Unknown - Not initialized" . When i click to initialize i got the error "A device which does not exist was specified." . What can be the cause of this ? How can i initialize the drive ?

    Trouble Initiating New SSD

SSD storage keeps filling up on its own

    Hi Ash,

There's a possibility that the files are just hidden. As an initial troubleshooting, we suggest following the steps below on how to display hidden files that's eating space of your SSD:

    • On the Search bar, type folder, and then select
Show hidden files and folders from the search results.
    • Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives,
      and then select OK.

Keep us in the loop with the result.
