Windows 10: Trouble opening settings and connecting to network.

Hello so I have been having an issue for a few days now and am hoping someone is able to help me. I have a fairly old laptop you could say lenovo thinkpad though I haven't had many problems with it as it runs well. To get to the point I cannot open my internet settings but every other settings in the app works. I am also unable to connect to my wifi because the wifi icon has disappeared. My issue is, I cannot open internet settings and cannot connect to my wifi since the internet settings won't open up. What also has happened is that there is no list of available networks. How to set up wireless network connection?

Hello everyone...

I want to connect wireless network connection to my laptop. But I don't know why I am unable to do it.. I am getting some error. I think some configuration setting kind of error. Can you please provide me some steps so that I can get my work done.

I would suggest you to try the steps provided in article:
Fix network connection issues in Windows. Also check if the proxy settings are
disabled. To check the proxy settings:

1. Open Windows Settings (Windows key + I)
   
2. Then click on Network & Internet > Proxy.
   
3. Toggle the option Automatically detect settings to ON.
   
4. Toggle the option Use a proxy server to OFF.
