Windows 10: Trouble to upgrade windows 10 1909 to 2004 or 20h2 by wsus

Hello guys,I've experience some trouble to upgrade build version from win10 1909 to 2004 or 20h2 by WSUS. The feature update always says they conclude the update. But, when the pcs ask the pending restart, the update isn't install and try to install again the upgrade.When I already done on this workstations:- rename C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to .old too many times- update drivers and bios from workstations- remove mcafee antivirus- Install the last SSU on the workstations- didn't find any drivers erros on setupdiag- remove printers I'm lost on this solution, any tips for my trouble?

Windows 10 x64 bulid update 2004 for WSUS error

Dear Sir/Madam,



I would like to ask for your help regarding WSUS bulid update error. We have a business environment with 350 clients running various desktops like Windows 10 Pro X64 OS, with update management provided by WSUS. We want to upgrade our machines to the 2004
build, however for more than 250 machines, this runs into errors.

The error message is "0x800705b4". By manually running the upgrade on a desktop, it will be updated to 2004 without any problems.

In the case of 50-60 machines, it was also installed from WSUS, although machines with the same type and the same program environment.



May I ask your advise that there may be some history update that is absolutely necessary before the 2004 bulid update,

or perhaps for older bulilds, this can only be done in step by steps.



Should the OS of the server running WSUS be newer than 2012?



We welcome any suggestions that may be a central solution to the problem.

1909 to 2004 upgrade

The 20H2 iso is available for download (see News section), so that naturally 'includes' 2004. This is a step preceding 20H2 becoming available by Windows Update in place of 2004; presently you'd be offered 2004 by WU then the 20H2 enablement package. All downloads are available following the relevant article in the News section.

It's an evolving scenario following the pattern of 1903/1909.

 

Updating Win 10 1909 to 20H2 directly, will there be any problems?

Hi, just got a new ssd installed, and my local vendor installed the 1809 version in my system. I updated the software to 1909 but there is no update for ver 2004 under Update and Security in settings. I couldn't find any update assistant of 2004, but the
one for 20H2 is available. Is it fine if I directly upgrade to ver 20H2? Will there be any issue or should I upgrade to 2004?
