Trouble updating to build 1511 through WSUS

I would like to update my Windows 10 computers to the latest 1511 (10586) build using Windows Update. I have approved the update in WSUS for all groups and it is also showing as "ready for installation. But none of pc's are seeing the update. WSUS is also showing Needed=0. What am I missing here?

Windows 10 Pro 1511 via WSUS

Upgrading windows 10 Pro from build 10240 to 1511. I have updated WSUS and approved the updates but when I try and install on a client I get the following error Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x8007007E: Upgrade
    to Windows 10 Pro, version 1511, 10586.

I have removed and re-downloaded the update from wsus but still the same error.

    Any ideas?

  3. Upgrading 1511 Windows 10 to 1607 Using WSUS

I have been trying to this for a while. I have a bunch of windows 10 that are still 1511 Build. I want to upgrade them to 1607 but I don't want to do it individually as it takes time to re-image, back up and apply the change. I want WSUS to do that so that
I can put all PCs in a group and apply the upgrade.

    My question are:

    1. If I can do it from WSUS, what updates do I need to approve to upgrade to 1607 from 1511 Build. Is there any pre-requisite 1511 updates I need to approve to make sure update can work, if so what are those.

    2. If it's not easier to do from WSUS, is there any quick and better way to upgrade to 1607 rather than re-imaging, backing up and re-applying the change.

Any inputs are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much

  7. The update shown in the screenshot is not the OS upgrade but only a security update for win10 1511, for those who already have it.

I'm aware of this (not sure about OP), but the base of the question is still here.... what are we missing?

I'm going to be in contact with Microsoft today, will report back if I find anything.

Comport Colin is correct. On closer inspection, it is an additional update that would apply after the main 1511 upgrade.

Doesnt look like Microsoft have released the 1511 update to WSUS yet.

Will that work, or System will Delete at once that Option when I start from it? Are there other options? 63504
