Windows 10: Trouble with 2 monitors?

Dear connoisseurs, I have a laptop running Windows 10 with an HDMI output. I want 2 monitors connected to this laptop (one works fine).

I have a Y-piece and 2 corresponding HDMI cables. When I plug it all together, my laptop does not recognize neither 2 nor a monitor.

How can I make 2 monitors work on one laptop?

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.

• What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
  

• How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?
