Windows 10: Trouble with Windows 10 Pro reactivation on Asus Rog laptop

I am having trouble reactivating Windows 10 Pro on my Asus Rog laptop. When I first got the laptop I installed a fresh copy of windows 10 and it was already activated or it activated by itself, I don't really know. However after a few months I got the windows watermark telling me to activate it. When I went into the settings to check what is up I found an error message saying'We can't activate Windows on this device because we can't connect to your organisation's server. Make sure that you're connected to your organisation's network and try again. If you continue having problems with activation, contact your organisation's support person. Error code: 0x8007007B'. I also tried entering the product key myself but it gives me the same error message. Troubleshooting didn't work as well, it just gives me this message'We can't activate your copy of Windows. Make sure you're connected to the Internet and try again' even though I am connected to the internet. Anyone got any idea what is wrong?

Problem:

Windows 10 Version 1709 restart problem ASUS ROG logo stuck

What I did:

Install Windows 10 Version 1709 through Windows 10 Update Assistant

Steps:

1. Windows 10 Update Assistant ask to Install Windows 10 Version 1709

2. Download complete successfully

3.Windows 10 Update Assistant ask to RESTART to complete Installation

4. I RESTART

5. The Laptop Boot

6. Got stuck on the ASUS ROG logo

7. Stay there for 8hs

8. Never get to start WINDOWS

9. I did a hard RESET

10. The Laptop start Restoring to a Previews Windows Version.

11. Windows starts NORMALLY

12. Windows 10 Update Assistant ask to RESTART

13. Back to step 1.

I am planning on getting a gaming laptop and my #1 choice is the Asus ROG that is on sale on the online Microsoft store. I have heard split reviews about the Asus, some saying that it simply doesn't turn on to some saying it is fantastic. It obviously
has a lot of capabilities and looking at its specs, it has a very powerful system however is it reliable enough for me to purchase or will it just be a waste of time. If it isn't reliable, then what would be a good backup computer to purchase.

You summed it up very nicely. Just add the extra information (both KB and Sleep fail if you uninstall the ATKPackage) to what you already have and they'll collect the data they need.

It's frustrating now, but there will be some solution offered by ASUS to MS. These types of drivers (programmable keyboards, backlit keyboards) are on the list to fix, but not high on the list *Wink

MS has to get network, display, chipset .... drivers working with Win10 before looking at the peripheral drivers.

You might want to write the same thing on the ASUS support page - address the issue from two sides (MS and ASUS). Who knows, ASUS might point you to another driver that works. I found one driver and offered it to you, there might be others I couldn't locate.

In any case, I think you and I have exhausted the options available in this type (forum) of trouble shooting. You did great, I appreciate the extra steps you took to better understand the issue. I really appreciate that you posted your results on your thread - that might help other members with a similar issue.
