Windows 10: Trouble with Windows 10 Settings Search Not Finding Specific Settings

The Windows 10 settings search is unable to find certain settings, such as 'Allow Windows to track app launches in order to improve Start and search

I can't find a specific cortana setting

Hi

I have been trying to get cortana back on to my windows 10 laptop and I got the search bar back by following a previeus question but when i continued on to the next step i was unable to find the setting that it asks for.

These are the instructions that were given and i was unable to find number 4.

To Enable Cortana, follow the steps below.

• Tap the Search bar on the task bar.
• Select the Hamburger icon
  
  towards the top left corner.
• Choose Settings.
• Under “Do you want Cortana to work for you”, ensure that it is turned “On” as shown below

That search box uses your default search provider. Are you generally unhappy with that search provider? Have you tried others?
