    first my laptop wouldn’t let me log in to my user so i tried entering the safe mode and it wont let methen i chose start up repair and it told me “log file c /windows/system32/logfiles/srt/srttrail.txt”so i tried this method in the command prompthttps://youtu.be/arYtWqPdXmgbut when i entered “bootrec /rebuildbcd” it says “c:\boot path not found” so i followed this video https://youtu.be/cVdbX_wlrJci didn’t know what partition to select but i typed “select partition 4” then “exit”.then entered “bcdboot c:\windows” and it said “boot file successfully created” then i entered “exit”

    The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

    Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

    No administer accounts detected by troubleshoot options?!

    Hi,

    We can see here that you cannot access the computer's recovery option. To better assist you with this concern, may we know the following:

    • Any changes made on the computer prior to this concern?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Can you send us a screenshot with the error message?

    In the meantime, we suggest that you create another local account (administrator) and check if you will still experience the same issue. This will help us isolate if the issue is with the current account or with the computer itself.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond troubleshoot only shows two options :) Best regards.
