Windows 10: Troubleshooting wizard is not working

The troubleshooters themselves seem to work fine, but the Troubleshooting wizard doesn't. I ran a couple of Troubleshooters with CMD and they all seemed to work. But when I try to use a Troubleshooter through Settings, through Control Panel, or by right-clicking on the Network icon in the taskbar and choosing "Troubleshoot problems" it doesn't work. The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

• What is the make and model of the computer?
• What exactly happens when you try to run the SFC scan? Did you receive any error message?
• What is the exact issue that you are facing which led you to perform the troubleshooters?
• Do you have active internet connection?
• Did you install any third party security application?

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to download and install any pending updates that needs to be installed on the computer through Windows update and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to check if you can install the software in Compatibility mode. Follow the below steps.

  Troubleshoot Compatibility to launch the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter wizard which will check for issues.

  Select the option “Troubleshoot program”
  and depending on the problems you are experiencing when attempting to install or use the software, check off the problems. Click on Next.
