TrustedInstaller has full control of everything

I was following a guide for fixing the bsod error page_fault_in_none_paged_area. I had regedit open but did not change anything. TrustedInstaller is now the only "user" with full control. Every helppage I visit tells me to go to the security tab and 'change owner'. TrustedInstaller does not allow me to do that. I don't know what to do, I can't open anything, can't reach anything. I want to look at my list of recoverypoints but my only way to open anything is to start a new task in taskmanager and I don't know what to type in there. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: I typed rstrui in a new t

    Hi Ron,

To help resolve your concern, you have to first take ownership of the files or folders and then grant yourself full
control permissions and rights. To do so, follow the steps on this link:

    • Open
      File Explorer
and then locate the file or folder you want to take ownership of.

    • Right-click the file or folder, click
      Properties and then select
      Security
      tab.

    • Click the
      Advanced
      button and the
      Advanced Security Settings
window will appear. You need to change the Owner of the key. Click the
      Change link
      next to the "Owner:" label

    • The
Select User or Group window will appear. Type "NT Service\TrustedInstaller"
      as the new owner name.

    • Click
OK to change the ownership and you are done.

Let us know how it goes.

Fan control for 4870X2 broken in 1.17

Fixed fan controls yes. Annoying profiles yes. Buggy code yes.

I'd rather just set it and forget it as the feature list of RBE suggested it was capable of doing.
