i was changing my security info and at the end it asked me to enter the alternative account and then when i did it said Before we can continue...For security purposes, please enter the Microsoft account for which you're replacing the security info.Try entering your Microsoft account again. We don't recognize this one.my account is newly created if that helpsEdit: i just read a post like this and yes i logged into the outlook and my profile tabs just in case and the alternative email is the same one i am using to post this

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

My Microsoft account is not recognized !

Please help me ..

I tried to replace my Microsoft account , I completed all the steps . but when last 2/3 steps were remaining Microsoft asked me " For security purposes, please enter the Microsoft account for which you're replacing the security info." and i entered my new Microsoft account where i want to transfer my datas but then again it said "Try entering your Microsoft account again. We don't recognize this one." . I don't know why it is not recognizing my Microsoft account .

Gyus please help me to solve this issue as soon as possible .

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

• Is this the only account on the computer?
• Was this account upgraded from previous version of Windows?

It looks like you are using a local account. I suggest you follow these steps:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Microsoft account instead.
• Enter your Local account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the new Microsoft account and click OK.
