Windows 10: Try what is deemed incompatible for it may work out well in the end.

Believe it or not, some old hardware does work with what you are aiming for as a result. For example, these are my old specs that worked without a issue on Windows 10:

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 (32-bit architecture)
Graphics: ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series
RAM: 2GB

There is almost never a thing called "Incompatible". You just need to be motivated to attempt what is considered to be incompatible. Using the PC specs above, that is how I proved Microsoft wrong. I installed Windows 10 Enterprise Evaluation on that old PC since the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistance said my display did not work.11 days from the date that key expired, I called Microsoft and they verified that the display did work and in turn, activated Windows 10 Ultimate with a key that would not expire. So as the title of this post states, try what is deemed incompatible for it may work out well in the end.

I have updated my windows 10 to new version 1607 on 27/01/2017 and after that my start menu is not working.

i also use a command of sfc /scannow but the problem is still there what should i do?

Not a bad first post, I have had variable interactions with MS over the phone, sometimes good.

They have never activated a product that doesn't exist though. Good for you.

 

Just about every Edition of Windows 10 gets a Digital License these days. And once you get that, its good for forever. Enterprise installs, IMHO, should never get a DL. But some do, mine did, as I used a MAK key instead of the usual Volume License key. Volume License installs will (should) never get a DL. MAK keys do for some reason, similar to retail keys in a way I guess? I have yet to figure out if its accidental or by intension. The key they used must have been a MAK key. Does it show as activated with a Digital License in Settings > Updates & security > Activation?

 

While the mysterious upgrade of Windows 10 Enterprise eval version to a fully activated Windows 10 "Ultimate" by Microsoft is extremely dubious.....

My thoughts on "incompatible hardware" is this. Make a backup image of what you have installed and working. Try the software you want to try. If it works, then great! If it doesn't work, then restore the backup image you made and all you've lost is time.

 

Missed the "Windows 10 Ultimate" part, Typo? As there is no such thing as 10 ultimate?
