Thanks. Quick and partial comment - your partitions look ok, but your Hard Disk Sentinel screenshot looks very strange. ? for health? No statement about it. Compare..

So a disk test and health check need to be completed first.

I'll post a link to 1607 iso tomorrow. Good night!

No I don't. Would you like one? This 3rd-party utility can generate a link to get an ISO for any version direct from Microsoft's servers.

Yes, in the HeiDoc tool click Windows 10, then click 'select edition' and choose:
(July 2016 is how the 1607 version number was chosen by Microsoft, it's YYMM)

Then choose the same language as you have at present (English is US English, English International is UK English).

When I tried to do an in place upgrade with ver. 1607 (The same version that is installed) the Windows Setup is asking me for the Product Key. I downloaded a program to show me the Product Key that is currently installed. I put the Product Key into the setup and it's telling me "This key doesn't work with this edition of Windows. Try a different key."
This version of Win10 came installed on this machine..

    Thanks,

How did you try to run the upgrade? You only get asked for a key if you are doing a clean install, as you would if you booted from the install media.

The correct way to start an upgrade is to have windows running, find the ISO file you downloaded in File explorer then double-click on it to mount it. This mounts the ISO as a virtual drive with a new drive letter. Find Setup.exe on the root of this drive and run it. At no point in an upgrade do you get asked for a key.

See step 4 in this tutorial: Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

Your description matches exactly what I did.
With Win10 running with User Administrator. I double clicked on the ISO file I downloaded. Win10_1607_N_English_x64.iso.
    It opened a window D:\
I right clicked on Setup.exe and chose Run as administrator.
It asked me if I wanted to download updates. I selected Yes.
It asks me for a product key.

It would be nice if it would follow the tutorial you referenced.

Maybe it's not doing an in place update because I have two folders from a previous in place update I tried.
    $GetCurrent
    $Windows.~BT

    Thanks,

You downloaded Windows 10 N Home/Pro. Do you currently have an N edition installed? If not you would be trying to upgrade to a different version from the one that you have a digital licence for, hence it would ask for a new key. Look in Settings > System > About to see the exact edition you have.

I suspect you should be using the Windows 10 Home/Pro ISO (the one without the 'N').

My bad. I chose the one with the N. I shouldn't have.

    Thanks,

A new build of Windows is released approximately every 6 to 8 months.
    1511
    ...............8 months
    1607
    ..............8 months
    1703
    ..............6 months
    1709
    ..............6 months
    1803 or
    ..............8 months
    1805

There have been problems for those that have been able to upgrade with:
    Spectre and Meltdown: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...ectre-meltdown
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...date-kb4074588

The updates to prevent problems with inaccessible boot device, USB failure, problems with keyboard and mouse, are not yet automatic and may take additional troubleshooting steps.
With time there should be automatic Microsoft updates to prevent these problems.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...stalling-the-j
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...ry-13-2018-upd
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...date-kb4074588

If you were able to wait for this duration of time before upgrading consider upgrading to the next build of Windows 10.

If you prefer to continue troubleshooting then beware of the possible additional troubleshooting steps that may be needed if the upgrade failure troubleshooting is successful.

    Been there - done that.

Back in the day when Win10 first came out I made the install media to upgrade my UK-model Win7 laptop. I naturally downloaded the UK English one, only to discover I was actually running a US edition of Windows. *Sad

Your missing a step. Have you yet verified your disk is ok? Hard Disk Sentinel seemingly could not read any SMART parameters. I've never seen that before. Given your original post, you should take care. It's no good building a castle on sand.

Try HD Tune (free) as well. It should look like this- all columns on the right should read 'OK'.

The OP's screenshot says it's "Hard Disk Sentinel 5.01 Pro - unregistered version", while your example just says "Hard Disk Sentinel 5.01", if that has a bearing. Though it does seem odd that the OP's one only shows one tab called Partitions which doesn't seem to even exist in your example.

The unregistered version (trial) should work perfectly- often used. Given the history in post 1 a disk test/check seems advisable.
