Discus and support trying to clear or enter new password in WIN8 in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I am trying to see if possible to setup an old Toshiba Satellite Model C55 A530D laptop for the grandkids to play with.     I am trying to see if possible to setup an old Toshiba Satellite Model C55 A530D laptop for the grandkids to play with. It appears to be a WIN8 OS, but it boots to a login screen and my daughter can't remember it. So we can't get to the Windows screen to do anything else. There are several solutions on the internet that list 5-6 steps of restarting off the login screen and supposedly ending up in safe mode then the command prompt to clear the password. It doesn't work. On the last screen your supposed to hit F6 when it goes to restart to get into safe mode. It never does, just boots back to
